TypoJesus: Hi, my name is Pete Zenger and I'm a writer for PARADE magazine. I'm working on a
story about Civil War re-enactment and I was wondering if I could ask you a few questions.

Maverick1862: sure
TypoJesus: okay, thanks! : )
TypoJesus: First of all, what is your favorite battle to re-enact and why?
Maverick1862: Shiloh, cause we couldve won it right there
TypoJesus: When you say "we" you mean the South, right?
Maverick1862: yes
TypoJesus: okay.
Maverick1862: im from Mississippi
TypoJesus: What attracted you to the world of Civil War re-enactment? Was it the guns? the
costumes? the white supremacist subtext?

Maverick1862: it was the history
TypoJesus: so did you study history in college?
Maverick1862: i didnt go to college yet im in the navy
TypoJesus: oh, cool
TypoJesus: how old are you?
Maverick1862: 25
TypoJesus: In a recent New York Times poll, Americans rated Civil War Re-enacting as the second
creepiest hobby in modern society (child pornography barely edged it out). think you guys have a shot
at the title next year?

Maverick1862: maybe
